CEOs are coding again | Amir Salihefendic, CEO of Todoist

CEOs are coding again | Amir Salihefendic, CEO of Todoist - Life on Mars Podcast Episode 123

Amir Salihefendic, CEO of Todoist, is more involved in the code than ever. This week alone he vibe coded a table view that would have taken months of work before, and prototyped it in an hour.

We sit down in person for the first time to talk about what happens when CEOs, designers and the whole company can ship software with AI agents. Amir shares his setup (Claude and Codex reviewing each other's work), how an MCP built as a side quest by two engineers grew to two-thirds of their traffic, why engineers are becoming architects rather than bricklayers, and the time one of his agents wiped an AWS environment.
