Every year, we organise a big Startup Grind event as an afterwork for Mobile World Congress / 4 Years For Now, but this year… we're doing three of them! Find out more in this blog post!
We have been organising Startup Grind in Barcelona since the beginning of 2014. In these six years, we have hosted 72 editions of our monthly event, a few summer parties, and bigger events like our annual conference Startup Grind Tech.
Mobile World Congress - and its parallel small brother 4 Years From Now - are the biggest force in our local ecosystem. Over a hundred thousand people flock to Barcelona for a week of tech, business and innovation, and everyone is looking for yet another opportunity to mingle with like-minded people and learn from leaders of their sector while downing a few extra beers.
Over the years, we have always organised an event during that week, independent from MWC/4YFN, to complement their offering, and to give our local community an extra chance to meet the newcomers for a different event altogether. It's an event that sells out weeks before the date, so it's well worth it.
Therefore, this year, we have decided to organise three of them! Take a look at what's coming up next:
With our friends at ACCIÓ and F6S we are co-hosting the first edition of the Corporate Innovation Summit. On this occasion, eight prominent people in the innovation industry, six from big corporations and two founders of high-success startups, will share their experience with Corporate Innovation programs and how they bridged the gap between corporations and startups.
Meet the heads of innovation and C-levels from Vueling, FC Barcelona, Red Points, Philip Morris, ASICS and many more in this event on the 24th of February at the Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm.
The agenda is as follows:
Our monthly Startup Grind event comes back in the form of a panel with the best Venture Capitalists in town.
We are proud to host our VC panel on February 25th at Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm too, featuring Target Global, Draper Esprit, Inveready and another VC to be confirmed.

Meet with an interesting mixture of our local community and the MWC/4FYN attendees in our monthly edition of Startup Grind!
We have been friends with Twilio thanks to their acquisition of SendGrid. We have hosted SendGrid a couple of times in the past, and as a technical company, we have a lot of things in common with them. We are also users of Twilio and SendGrid in some of the projects we have developed at MarsBased.
Reminisce our event with Erik Ault, from SendGrid, from 2017:
On February 26th at Itnig, we will be hosting Chiara Massironi (Manager @ Twilio) and Laurence Trifon (VP @ Twilio) for an evening around how to build community around tech.
We look forward to seeing you at our events during that week. And, of course, keep in mind that we're organising the fourth edition of Startup Grind Tech for May 12-13th in Barcelona, too. Find more information on the Conference website.
