2020 has been a wild ride, to put it simply. We can't find words to describe such an awkward year, but we want to share a breakdown, month-by-month, of what we lived, to have a recollection of our learnings and feelings as a company.

Last Friday, we had our X-mas Martian Day, which was virtual this time. As much as it pains us, we decided to prioritise everyone's safety and not take any chances. We devised a different Martian Day for the occasion, including our very first MarsBased trivial to make this celebration more special from the comfort of everyone's homes. It was really fun!
We very much hope we have the conditions to go back to our in-person activities in 2021 without compromising anyone's safety.
We've signed three new projects to keep us busy for the most part of the first half of 2021, two of them with former clients and the third with a new one. See how we'll be helping them 👇🏻
One of the former clients is Rundit, a Finnish investment platform we built in 2016-17 in Ruby but then they moved to Node.js back when we didn't do Node. The range of technologies we work with has widen to date, and we will be helping them with Node.js.
The other former client is Aparca&go, back after a couple of years hiatus. We'll work on the frontend side of things doing HTML/CSS + Angular development.
The new client we've signed is Grupo Intercom's Infopraca, one of the leading portals for job hunting in Poland. We will have to rebuild a platform that's been stagnating for a while, and we will do it using Ruby on Rails.
At Startup Grind BCN we started December hosting our 103rd event, this time discussing about Mental Health with Javier Suarez & Sançar Şahin (Co-Founders @ Oliva) 👉🏼 You can watch the video here.
Director Àlex Rodríguez put together a nice thread on Twitter describing the main milestones of the chapter from the very first steps until date: "it's been one hell of a ride. +100 events don't come easy, but if we've come this far, we're not gonna quit now. We will continue doing online events until we can go back to hosting normal ones".
Our latest interviews include guests such as Jeff Dunham (CTO @ Wallbox), Gordon Cardiff (CEO @ ClearPeaks), Pontus Österberg (Co-founder @ Prototyp), Victoria Gago (European Blockchain Convention), Dani Vicén (CEO @ zapptales), and Miguel Valls (General Partner @ Alta Life Sciences) to talk about self-organisation in hyper-growth startups, selling to enterprise, the future of tech events, difficulties of B2C in foreign markets, disruption accelerated by the pandemic and much more.
